Myrtle Beach police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a stabbing that occurred earlier this week outside an apartment complex in the city and a 24-year-old man was injured, according to authorities.

An arrest warrant was issued for Rashaun Lamur Flynn, 23, of Myrtle Beach, on a charge of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature in connection with a stabbing that occurred about 9 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of 37th Avenue North, police said.

Police consider Flynn armed and dangerous and ask that anyone with information regarding his whereabouts call Myrtle Beach officers at 918-1382.

A 24-year-old man’s girlfriend told officers that her boyfriend walked her son down the street so he could play with his friend, police said.

A few minutes later, the victim’s girlfriend said the victim walked back and said he had been stabbed, according to the report. The woman said she saw a man jump a nearby fence going toward 38th Avenue North and run away.

The victim got into a vehicle with a friend and was taken to the hospital.

Another witness told police that she saw the suspect in a parking lot and told him he was not supposed to be there and that was when the victim confronted the suspect and the men began to fight, according to the report. The witness said she saw the victim pull out a pistol as the suspect ran toward the rear of the apartment complex, but the magazine fell out and the victim walked away.

That witness told police she did not know the victim had been stabbed until he was leaving and she called police, according to the report. The witness said she didn’t know exactly what happened because she tried to get nearby children into their homes.

Another witness told police he saw the suspect on the property and chased him away, according to the report. Police were unable to locate any evidence of the incident for a crime scene.
