Myrtle Beach’s Jeffrey Goldner attempted to qualify for the USGA’s Senior Open at Florence Country Club. Goldner fell seven strokes short with a round of 74.
Blythewood’s Eddie Hargett clinched the spot with a 67 with Michael Donald and Skip Taylor being the alternates.
Myrtle Beach’s Jim Cocca and North Myrtle Beach’s Hal Harrigan were attempting to qualify. Cocca shot a 78 while Harrigan had a 79.
