Deputy involved in vehicle crash
A truck crashed into a vehicle and a Georgetown County sheriff’s deputy’s car late Monday, but no injuries were reported, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The crash happened about 9:15 p.m. Monday along Atlantic Avenue at the light for South Waccamaw Drive, said Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins with the highway patrol.
The Georgetown County deputy and another vehicle were stopped at the light when a pickup truck turned onto Atlantic Avenue and crashed into both vehicles, Collins said.
The crash remains under investigation by the highway patrol.

Argument over woman lands man in jail
A 44-year-old Myrtle Beach man remains jailed Tuesday after he was charged in connection with a man being cut on the arm after an argument about the victim talking to a woman, according to a police report.
The 64-year-old victim told officers that at 8 a.m. Monday he was at the intersection of Third Avenue South and Withers Swash Drive having a conversation with a woman, who both men are friends with, police said.
The victim said Christopher Michael Arbograst, 44, came up to him and argued about him speaking to the woman, according to the report. The victim said Arbograst pulled out a knife, cut the victim’s arm and his bicycle seat before the victim walked away.
Arborgrast is being held at the Myrtle Beach Jail without bond on third-degree assault and battery and malicious injury, destruction of personal property, according to jail records. Police arrested Arborgrast at the scene and found two knives on him.
The victim had a superficial wound and declined to be treated by EMS. The woman had left the area before police arrived.

Man’s jaw fractured during robbery
An armed robbery at a Myrtle Beach bar has left one man in the hospital with a fractured jaw.
The 33-year-old victim was at Donny’s Saloon when two men followed him into the bathroom, hit him with a black revolver and robbed him, according to Myrtle Beach police.
The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. at the bar on 3rd Avenue South, a report said. The two suspects took the man’s wallet, $600 and two cell phones.
One suspect is described as a light skinned, bald man and the other had cornrows in his hair, police said.
The victim will have his fractured jaw wired shut, according to police.
