Police search for shooting suspect
Conway police are looking for a man wanted in a shooting that happened Sunday on Woodward Drive.
Catina Hipp, spokeswoman for Conway police, said in a press release officers have warrants for 21-year-old Franciosx Edriqou Shepard, 21. Shepard is wanted on charges of attempted murder and discharging a firearm into a dwelling.
Police said the incident occurred just after 3 a.m. Sunday at a home on Woodward Drive.
The victim had already been transported to Conway Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound to the thigh when officers arrived.
After speaking with the victim, officers learned he argued with Shepard over the phone and Shepard later came to his house wanting to fight.
Shepard fired a handgun twice, striking the victim once in the thigh before fleeing in an unknown direction, according to the report.
Anyone with information on the incident or the location of Shepard is asked to contact Conway police.

Police investigate robbery, kidnapping
One man is in custody while police search for a second suspect in a robbery and kidnapping that resulted in a vehicle chase and crash.
Officials will Pawleys Island police said warrants were obtained for Dyshan Malik William Frasier, 19, and Nequan Gerell Brown, 17, both of Pawleys Island Wednesday afternoon. Frasier was arrested by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office and officers are still looking for Brown.
Frasier has been charged with kidnapping, carjacking and burglary in the first degree by Pawleys Island police. Warrants for Brown were for the same charges.
Additional charges may be filed by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, but those charges were not available Wednesday night.
Guy Osborne, chief of Pawleys Island police department, said officers were dispatched to a home on the 200 block of Myrtle Avenue on the island for a domestic dispute at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday morning when a woman called police.
The victim’s were a mother and son.
According to a press release from Osborne, the caller told police she was on the phone with the woman when she heard her scream “they have a gun,” the report said.
Officers called the woman’s cell phone and learned they were at the Walmart at 1310 North Fraser Street in Georgetown.
Osborne said officers with Georgetown City police and the sheriff’s office found the vehicle which belonged to the male victim in the parking lot where the chase ensued.
A report from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office said the vehicle, a white Chevrolet truck, was seen running through a red light after leaving the Walmart parking lot.
Officers attempted to stop the driver when the vehicle began to flee at approximately 85 mph, the report said.
The chase traveled down Sims Street where the vehicle briefly lost control and took down a mailbox, according to police. Then the driver ran through two stop signs before he drove through a wire fence, crashing into a mound of dirt and then sliding into a home, the report said.
When the truck crashed, two men fled into the woods.
The report said officers did not chase after the men because they had been reported armed and there were two other people inside the truck.
Police learned those two people were the victims. They were transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
Officers found silver handguns along with a black ski mask in the car.

Conway teen arrested with stun gun
A Conway teen is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center after police said he was carrying a stun gun onto school property early Wednesday, Horry County police Sgt. Robert Kegler said.
Harlan Howard Bell, 18, of Conway was charged with carrying weapons onto school property and booked into the jail at 11:21 a.m. Wednesday, according to jail records. Bell was awaiting a bail hearing.
Kegler said the charge stems from Bell having a stun gun in his possession at the Academy for Technology and Academics located on U.S. 701 North.
A police report about the incident had not been filed, so additional details were not immediately available, Kegler said around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Customer leaves bag of cocaine in store
Myrtle Beach police were dispatched to a convenience store on the 800 block of South Kings Highway around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday where a customer left a Ziploc bag containing cocaine, according to a police report.
Officers obtained a warrant for James Walter Lewis, 29, of Myrtle Beach for possession with intent to distribute cocaine, according to the police report. At 8:30 p.m. Wednesday Lewis had not yet been arrested.
The report said Lewis placed his money on the counter when he made a purchase and dropped a bag containing eight rock-like objects that turned out to be two grams of cocaine, the report said.
Officers found a man matching the description from the store clerk and police recognized him from previous arrests. When police asked the man about the crack, he fled from police who did not pursue the chase in order to obtain a warrant.
