Conway police are investigating two business burglaries that occurred in the same complex days apart, according to police report.

In the first incident, officers were called at 10:30 a.m. Saturday to 2307 Church St., for a burglary at the Szechuan restaurant, police said. The business owner reported closing for the evening at 11 p.m. the day before and when he returned the next day found a broken window.

Burglars had broken the window and crawl through it to get inside the business, according to the report. An undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register was taken. Damage to the window was estimated at $200.

In the second incident at 2300 Church St., police were called about 9:30 p.m. Sunday after the front glass door of the Tienda Y Carniceria El Char was broken, according to the report. A business owner in the complex reported seeing the broken door and called police.

An employee told officers the business closed about 9:15 p.m. Sunday and video showed the suspect going up to the door at 9:23 p.m. and throwing a rock through the door to break it, according to the report. The burglar slammed the cash register to the ground and took $50 cash and a board that hung on the wall that contained currency from other places.

The business alarm failed because the door was not opened, according to the report.

Police are investigating the incidents.
