Myrtle Beach police arrested three people after two of them walked out on a $7.04 bill at a Myrtle Beach Denny's restaurant.

A couple sat down to eat at the Denny’s at 800 Kings Highway around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, a police report said.

About 40 minutes later, a man left the restaurant while a woman went to the cash register. The woman then told the employee she needed to get a credit card from the man, police said.

According to the incident report, the woman got into a white Volvo and the couple left the scene with an unidentified man. Later that day police arrested three people, including two suspected in the restaurant incident, which remains under investigation.

The three face drug charges not related to restaurant. Police charged Courtney Nicole Scott, 22, of Murrells Inlet, Kristin Virginia Lathan, 27, and James Anderson, 48, both of Myrtle Beach, with posession of marijuana.

Police found the white Volvo Tuesday evening outside an Ocean Boulevard hotel, where the three suspects were found staying in a room. Police say a fourth person who shared the room was not there when officers arrived. That personis suspected in an auto break-in.

Officers charged Anderson, Lathan, and Scott, after a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana was found on a bed in the hotel room. Also found in the room were items police say belonged to victims of separate break-ins.
