Re Jan. 8 column by Issac Bailey, “Hard to forget, hard to forgive”

I have wondered for some time why it is that The Sun News is declining. It could be that a bleeding heart liberal with a racial chip on his shoulder gets a full column and half to defend the predators out there. He feels sorry for a common street punk and a purse snatcher.

He said he thinks Mrs. Switzer maybe should understand the sad background, the broken home, the mental problems that Zireek has. Maybe it’s because he is a minority or did not get the pair of sneakers he wanted. Which is it Issac?

Similar stories:

He also says the purse snatcher was only desperate; it was only a few hundred dollars. Well Issac, I wonder how many desperate people would drag an old woman through a parking lot just to get her purse. She could have been killed or disabled for life just because this felt desperate.

He says we should consider the background of these two criminals. Did they consider the background of their victims?

He also says that kids should not be tried as an adult no matter what they do. It is people like Issac that have a place like The Sun News to insult good people with his twisted opinion.

The writer lives in Pawleys Island.
