Dwight McInvaill, director of the Georgetown County Library, is the guest speaker for the “First Thursday at Waccamaw” program sponsored by Friends of the Waccamaw Library. Discussing “Alice Smith: An Artistic Friendship, 1943-1958,” McInvaill will cover Smith paintings and the Charleston Renaissance of the 1920s and ‘30s and the connection to Myrtle Beach in the 1940s and ‘50s.
