Khadijah Sessions had a game-high 26 points to lift Myrtle Beach over Socastee, 51-47, in a Region VIII-AAA win. Sessions had a double-double as she added 13 rebounds to her points. She also had five assists.

“We will take any win we can get,” Seahawks coach Brian Kiper said. “Our region is very balanced this year. We lost to Wilson last week, who had the same record as Socastee. We are still trying to find ourselves without Tanisha [Brown].”

Myrtle Beach didn’t have to completely rely on Sessions on Tuesday evening. Sophomore Shavae Shaw had 18 points for the Seahawks.

The Braves were led by Katherine Mose, who had 17 points. Sierrah McCarthy added nine points for Socastee.

Stephanie Roberts (13), Brihana Dickerson (12) and Monica Smalls (10) also scored in double-digits for St. James. Smalls also added 10 rebounds to her points.

Taziya Moody led the Bulldogs with 14 points.

The Chiefs began the first quarter on a 17-4 run and never looked back, cruising to a season sweep of the Tigers. Taylor Allman and Kendricka Bellamy chipped in 16 and 12 points, respectively for North Myrtle Beach.

Jasmyn Burch led Wilson with 15 points. Maya Jackson posted a double-double for the Tigers with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
