The charges stemmed from a 31-year-old Myrtle Beach man and 25-year-old Murrells Inlet man telling police they were involved in a fight about 4:15 a.m. Jan. 20 outside Remedies Bar and Grill at 4803 U.S. 17 Bypass, according to a police report.

Police were called two days later to South Strand Medical Center where the 31-year-old man sought treatment for a broken nose, broken cheek bones, orbital bone and sinus hemorrhaging, according to the report. The man told officers he was approached by Johnson, who threw her drink on him, and then had her boyfriend, Carn, assault him and his friend.

The victim told police that he believed Carn had brass knuckles and used them during the incident, according to the report. The victim said he learned Johnson worked at Club Crush.

A witness, who was an employee at Remedies, told police that there was a fight outside the bar that involved a knife and he saw Carn and Johnson leaving the area, according to the report. The employee told police two men were assaulted.

Johnson told police that she confronted the victim because he used a derogatory word to describe her, according to the report. Johnson said she called her boyfriend, Carn, to come handle the problem and a fight between the men occurred.

Carn told police he was assaulted by the men and hit them in self-defense, according to the report. Video obtained by police showed the group arguing before Carn struck the victim and a fight occurs between the men with Johnson hitting one of the men in the head.
