Myrtle Beach bank robbed by man dressed as woman (with photos)

Myrtle Beach police are searching for a man, who was dressed as a woman, suspected of robbing an Oak Street bank, said Capt. David Knipes.

Police were called at 11:41 a.m. Thursday to a TD bank branch located at 2003 N. Oak St., for the robbery, Knipes said. The man received an undisclosed amount of money before he fled the bank.

Officers are in the area searching for the suspect, Knipes said. No one was hurt during the incident.

Similar stories:

Initial reports about the robbery showed the man did not present a weapon, Knipes said. Anyone with information about the robbery or may have been in the area and saw something suspicious can call Myrtle Beach police at 918-1382.
