Proceeds benefit Dragon Boat at the Beach, a team of cancer survivors promoting emotional, spiritual and physical well being through the ancient sport of dragon boat racing. The Horry County Literacy Council’s L’il Book Nook bookstore is open Mondays-Thursdays. All proceeds will be used to purchase new textbooks for literacy students. Also, the council’s annual murder mystery dinner benefit, “Evil on the Beach,” is at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort, 1200 S.
