An Horry County man was killed Saturday night shortly after he was struck by a vehicle, authorities said.

Wallace Parmley, 50, was pronounced dead at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center at 7:28 p.m. Saturday, less than an hour after he was struck by a vehicle on Red Bluff Road near S.C. 905, said Horry County Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard.

Parmley was trying to walk to a vehicle on the other side of the road when he was struck, Williard said.
