QUESTION | How long have you been working at Dirty Don’s?

ANSWER | Four or five years.

What do you like about working here?

Customers. It’s laid back. Great atmosphere. You get to know your customers. It’s privately owned and he’s really cool. It’s beautiful and small and makes you feel like you’re at the beach.

What brought you to Myrtle Beach?

At 3 a.m. I got in the car and left Pennsylvania. I was at a party and just decided to go to Myrtle Beach.

Are you happy with your decision?

Yeah. I’m ready for something else, though.

Where to next?

I don’t know. Maybe Asheville. I like Charleston, too.

Will your next move be decided after drinks at a party with a late night departure, as well?

You never know. I’m very spontaneous like that, so you never know.

What’s another spontaneous thing you’ve done?

I used to just get in the car and go to NYC, Charleston, or somewhere just to get away. Skydiving was crazy, too.

There’s antibacterial spray as you come in the door of Dirty Don’s...how do you stay healthy during cold and flu season?

Drink vodka and OJ.

Would you rather it always be so hot that you were always drenched in sweat, or so cold your nose hairs were frozen?

Cold. You can always put on more clothes. You can only get so naked. Once you’re naked, you’re naked.

What do you do outside of work?

Go to the beach, take my dogs to the beach to run… and drink.

What kind of dog do you have?

A chug, which is a Chihuahua and a pug. His name is Buster Brown, and he needs a top hat and a cane because that’s the personality he has.

If you were drowning in the ocean, would you rather be rescued by Myrtle Beach lifeguards or David Hasselhoff?

Probably lifeguards today. At least these guys are certified.
