Green Sea Floyds High School is searching for a football coach for the third time in the past six years.
Trojans head football coach Joey Still submitted his resignation Monday, according to Horry County Schools spokeswoman Teal Britton.
Still was in his second year as the football coach and a biology teacher at the high school, and Britton said he resigned from both positions.
Still had been on administrative leave since Oct. 31 pending an investigation into allegations regarding conduct, said Britton, who added she was not at liberty to expound on the conduct in question.
Neither Still nor Trojans athletic director Doug Hinson immediately returned messages Wednesday.
Still was announced as the Trojans’ new coach in February 2010 and replaced Wayne Williamson, who resigned following three seasons from 2007-09. Still had coached his alma mater, Barnwell, for five seasons before taking over at GSF.
The football position will be advertised by the school district beginning next week.
