Democrats

• Friday is the first day 17 year-olds may register to vote in the June 12 primary election. Registrants must be 18 by the primary date.

• The Horry County Democratic Party’s Executive Committee meets at 6 p.m. Monday at the Horry County Government & Justice Center, 1301 Second Ave., Conway.

• The Georgetown County Republican Party is holding a meet-and-greet event with the GOP candidates for the new 7th congressional district, beginning at 6:15 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Tara Theater at the Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort, 14276 Ocean Highway.

Tickets are $10 each.
