Expect an announcement Thursday revealing the identity of the company that has committed to hire 150 employees in Horry County, the first major job announcement in the county in years.

The Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corp. and the S.C. Department of Commerce will make the announcement Thursday, said Brad Lofton, the CEO of the Myrtle Beach Regional Development Corp.

Earlier this month Horry County Council approved $100,000 in incentives for an existing business planning to add about 150 employees.
