Providence Day (N.C.) wins consolation championship at Crescent Bank Holiday Invitational

Jatarie White scored 23 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and had eight blocked shots to lead Providence Day (N.C.) past Fayette County (N.C.), 50-36, in the consolation bracket championship at the Crescent Bank Holiday Invitational on Thursday.

Tiffany Mitchell added 15 points for the Chargers and White’s eight blocks were one off the CBHI single game record.

Aneesa Watson scored 11 points to lead Fayette County, which shot just 26% from the field and committed 19 turnovers.

5th-place game

•  Dutch Fork 53, Atlantic (Fla.) 28 | Alaina Coates scored 24 points and had 16 rebounds to lead the Foxes.

Ronni Williams paced Atlantic with 13 points and six rebounds before fouling out late in the contest.

Dutch Fork owned the inside outscoring Atlantic 36-14 in the paint.

Donnesha Shuler added 14 points for Dutch Fork.

3rd-place game

•  Archbishop Carroll (Pa.) 58, Stephenson (Ga.) 45 | Sarah Curran scored 16 points to lead a balanced attack for Archbishop Carroll.

Rachel Pearson added 15 points and Meghan Creighton added 14 points and seven rebounds for Archbishop Carroll.

Nuba Jackson scored 12 points to lead Stephenson.
