Man shot, killed in Myrtle Beach

Detectives are in the midst of investigating a shooting that happened about 4:15 p.m. Sunday in Myrtle Beach, in which Michael Brown, 29, of Myrtle Beach was killed.

Myrtle Beach Police Capt. David Knipes said there is little information right now about the incident, other than that it happened on Spivey Street near Futrell Park.

The man was found unconscious on the sidewalk, transported to an area hospital and died from his wounds.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
