Prostitution bust in Myrtle Beach yields 14 arrests

Myrtle Beach police arrested 14 people on prostitution related charges after an undercover operation in the city, said Capt. David Knipes.

The arrests occurred Tuesday and involved 16 people, including 11 men and five women, on charges of prostitution, loitering for prostitution, shoplifting and possession of marijuana, Knipes said.

The undercover operation resulted after complaints from residents about criminal activity and complaints in the areas of Yaupon Drive, Third Avenue South, and Chester and Flagg streets, Knipes said.

Those arrested for second-offense prostitution were: Tracy Lynn Purcell, 25, Cynthia Lyn Raynor, 28, and Jennifer Darlene Reichbaum, 37.

Charged with first-offense prostitution were: Scott Dale Booth, 71, Evan Brown, 35, Tory Flowers, 34, James Michael Hayes, 66, Stacey Marie Mills, 40, Courtney Laresha Stirewalt, 22, Nicolas Aquino Trinidad, 47, and John Lowell Wohlfarth, 72, and James Preston Pryor, 41.

Stirewalt also is listed as among the 15 most wanted in Rowan County, N.C. for a charge of larceny of a firearm, according to Rowan County authorities.

Christina Ann Monroe, 29, and Daniel Aric Grier, 29, were charged with loitering for prostitution.

Two other people were arrested on unrelated charges of shoplifting and possession of marijuana during the undercover operations by officers in Myrtle Beach police’s street crimes unit, Knipes said.
