North Myrtle Beach girls, boys sweep Carolina Forest

LITTLE RIVER -- Jaquan Grissett scored a game-high 22 points as the North Myrtle Beach boys basketball team handed Carolina Forest its first loss of the season, beating the Panthers 73-59 on Tuesday night.

Grissett was 14-of-18 from the free-throw line, including some in the final minutes, to help the Chiefs rebound from a loss to the Panthers last week.

Twins Matt and Josh Lindsay had 16 and 14 points, respectively, as four of the Chiefs’ starters scored in double figures.

Robert Gray led Carolina Forest with 20 points, Jarvez Holmes chipped in with 14 and Aaron Williams had 12.

In the girls game, India Farmer had 10 points and Ja’Quellea Livingston had 11 rebounds as the Chiefs made it a sweep with a 42-28 victory.

North Myrtle Beach pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Panthers 10-6 in the third quarter and dominating the fourth 12-4 to avenge a loss in the matchup last week.
