Warrants issued for robbery suspect
Police say arrest warrants are issued for a 23-year-old man related to the robbery of another man inside a restaurant bathroom in Myrtle Beach, Horry County police Sgt. Robert Kegler said.
Anthony Lee Drumgoole, who has family ties in Conway and Rochester, N.Y., but no known last address, is wanted on charges that include kidnapping, armed robbery and four counts of financial transaction card fraud, Kegler said. Drumgoole is considered armed and dangerous.
About 7:30 p.m. Nov 27 Horry County police were called to Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurant in the Myrtle Beach area of Horry County for an armed robbery, Kegler said. Officers learned a man at the business was robbed and forced to undress at knifepoint in a bathroom.
Horry County police detectives identified Drumgoole from surveillance photos that showed the suspect using the victim’s credit card, Kegler said. Police are seeking information about Drumgoole and his whereabouts.

Pawleys Island men wanted in robbery
Georgetown County deputies are searching for information about two suspects in an armed robbery in Pawleys Island, according to Carrie Cuthbertson, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.
Jeremy Lavester Holden, 26, and Darnell Michael Simmons, 19, both of Pawleys Island area, are wanted in connection with the robbery that occurred about 8:30 p.m. Friday, Cuthbertson said. Deputies were called to the guard shack at the entrance to Pawleys Plantation where the victim said he was robbed by three people while waiting for a friend.
The victim identified the suspects in the robbery and a short time later, deputies arrested Michael Christian Lee, 24, of 360 Linden Circle in Pawleys Island, Cuthbertson said. He is being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

Myrtle Beach area gas prices on the rise
The average retail price for gasoline in the Myrtle Beach area increased by 3.2 cents per gallon in the past week and averaged $3.10 on Sunday, according to MyrtleBeachGasPrices.com.
Prices are 31.2 cents per gallon higher than a year ago, but are 8.7 cents lower than a month ago in Myrtle Beach, according to the site. The area’s increase in prices does not mirror the national average, which decreased 0.7 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.28.
The national average has decreased 15 cents per gallon during the last month, but is 32.2 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.

Family Learning Center holds open house
An open house will be held Monday at the Myrtle Beach Family Learning Center, 3101 Oak St., from 2-6 p.m. to showcase its various programs and services, according to a news release from Horry County Adult Education.
Students and staff will be available to answer questions and give tours of the educational, recreational and informational opportunities available.
Programs at the center include adult education classes for students pursuing a GED or high school diploma, Work Keys certification, English as a second language classes, educational childcare for participants, family literacy and community education classes. Other programs located within the building include the Horry County Literacy Council, the Boys and Girls Club of the Grand Strand, Horry County Schools’ Pre-School Assessment Office, Parent-Educator Resource Center, Vision Services, Audiology Services, Assistive Technology and Horry County First Steps.

Forestbrook runner-up in Mock Trial
Forestbrook Middle School took the runner-up spot in the S.C. Bar Middle School Mock Trial State Competition held Saturday in Lexington, according to a news release from the S.C. Bar. Johnsonville Middle School won the state title.
Forestbrook’s team included Holley Black, Kevin Durrick, Katie Edmonds, Sierra Ellison, Erin Emiroglu, Calie Glasgow, Deanna Iannone, Ashley Jones, Jaida Lankford, Aly Loyd, Deanna Mason, Jordan Moreno, Katelyn Price, Hannah Rahner, Cinthia Zavala Ramos, Michael Riga, Charlotte Smith, Sophie Stevanovich, Lauren Stevens, Peyton Sutley, Jared Tompkins, James Vitale and L.J.
