A 76-year-old womans purse was taken from her shopping cart when she turned around to select a package of cheese inside Wal-Mart, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.
The woman told police she was inside the store located at 541 Seaboard St., about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday when her purse was stolen from her shopping cart, police said. The woman said she was in the cheese section and when she selected a package her purse was gone when she turned around.
Officers reviewed security video from the store and saw two men and a woman involved with taking the womans purse, according to the report. The video showed a man taking the purse from the cart while the woman and other man stood nearby.
The trio walked away with the purse and into the parking lot where they left the area. The womans purse and contents were valued at $140.
