July 21-22 | The fourth annual Myrtle Beach Kicking Academy Summer Camp at North Myrtle Beach High School football complex. Camp features collegiate counselors: Boston College kickers Ryan Quigley, Nate Freeze and Alex Howell, Clemson kicker Spencer Benton, Coastal Carolina kicker James Pallassino, Virginia kicker Jimmy Howell, Christopher Newport's kicker Stephen Denuel and Boston College snapper Sean Flaherty. Camp is for upcoming 7th-12th graders interested in developing consistency and accuracy as a kicker, punter or long snapper. Kickers cost is $250 for camp. Long snappers' tuition is $100. Registration at 8 a.m. July 21, camp runs 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. Lunch and afternoon snack provided. Overnight accommodations responsibility of each camper. July 16 | First annual NBA Star Ramon Sessions Charity Golf Tournament, Heron Point Golf Club. 9 a.m. shotgun start, format four-man captain's choice. Wheelchair basketball
July 15 | North Myrtle Beach Aquatic & Fitness Center, in conjunction with the Sports Mobility Network, will host a wheelchair basketball clinic and practice for persons with physical disabilities with the intent of forming a competitive exhibition basketball team. The first clinic and practice will be held at the Aquatic & Fitness Center from 7-9 p.m. The newly formed team will compete in the Carolina Wheelchair Basketball Conference as an exhibition team during the 2011/2012 season.
