Horry County police arrested a Charlotte woman and Conway man after police found them engaged in a sexual act on the beach near the Garden City Beach pier, according to a police report.

Kerrie Clayton, 20, of Charlotte, N.C., was charged with indecent exposure and spent a day in J. Reuben Long Detention Center before she was released on $1,000 bail, according to records. Henry Scott Sanders, 23, of Conway, was charged with breach of peace and spent about 13 hours in jail before he was released on $500 bail.

Police were called at 4:50 a.m. Sunday to the beach for people naked on the beach, according to the report. An officer found a woman running around naked on the beach and saw her run to a man, who picked her up and made sexual movements toward her.

The officer walked down to the beach where the couple were and found them engaged in sexual activity, according to the report. The woman told police it was “no big deal that people have sex on the beach all the time.”
