A 41-year-old woman died early Saturday morning from injuries she suffered in a three-vehicle crash in Conway, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at 12:40 a.m. on U.S. 501 near Singleton Ridge Road. The driver of a 2007 Toyota pickup traveling north on U.S. 501 reportedly crossed the median and struck a 2001 Nissan SUV in the southbound lane. The truck also hit a 2006 Honda before coming to a stop, troopers said.

The driver of the SUV, 41-year-old Deanna Lynn Plyler of Heath Springs, near Lancaster, was killed in the crash, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick. She was reportedly not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Two passengers in the SUV and the driver of the Toyota were all taken to a local hospital, according to the highway patrol. Their names were not released.

The driver of the Honda was not hurt in the accident, which remains under investigation.

This is the sixth fatal accident on Horry County roadways in the last two weeks. Four people were killed in four separate crashes on April 23, making it one of the deadliest days on local roads in recent memory.
