Copper stolen from 14 air conditioning units at Myrtle Beach area business

Horry County police are investigating the theft of copper from 14 air conditioning units from a Myrtle Beach area business, said Sgt. Robert Kegler.

Police were called Thursday to Next Step Partners located at 3701 Waccamaw Blvd., for a malicious damage complaint, Kegler said. Officers found 14 units had been damaged and the copper stolen from them.

More than $100,000 in the damage to the units and the theft of the copper was reported, Kegler said. Detectives are investigating the incident.
