Conway man charged with assault after wife found him with another woman

A Conway man was charged after his wife told police he used his truck to hit her vehicle and push it into a tree, according to a police report.

Corey Brandon Weatherly, 31, was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature after a 31-year-old woman ran into the police department at 2 a.m. Monday, police said.

The woman told officers that she suspected Weatherly of cheating on her and went to a bar located on Laurel Street near the police department, according to the report. The woman said she saw Weatherly with a 27-year-old woman outside the bar and she confronted him when he kissed the other woman.

The woman said she slapped Weatherly and he pushed her to the ground and hit her before she was able to get up and run to her vehicle, according to the report. The woman told police Weatherly drove up behind her at Third Avenue and struck her vehicle with his and pushed her vehicle into a tree on the sidewalk.

The woman told police she got out and ran to the police department and Weatherly drove away, according to the report. The woman gave police the address of the other woman, where officers found Weatherly’s truck with damage to its bumper.

Weatherly was arrested inside the house and released later that day on $25,000 bail.
