Rabies clinics scheduled for Horry, Georgetown counties

This spring's round of rabies vaccine clinics start this week in Horry County Georgetown counties.

There are 32 clinic locations in Horry County through April 30 and four in Georgetown County through April 23.

Veterinarians at the clinics, sponsored by the S.C. Department of Health and Environment Control, may charge up to $10 for each shot. The maximum charge was formerly $3.

The following dates and locations have been set for Horry County clinics through this week:

FRIDAY

Call for times, The Cat's Meow (dogs welcome), 1141 Hwy. 544, Myrtle Beach.

SATURDAY

9 a.m. to noon, Best Friends Animal Hospital, 854E Jason Blvd., Myrtle Beach.

9:30 a.m. to noon, Ark Animal Hospital, 1011 Sixth Ave. North Ext., Surfside Beach.

Noon to 1 p.m., Animal Hospital of North Myrtle Beach, 2501 Hwy. 17 South, North Myrtle Beach.

Noon to 1 p.m., Kind Care Animal Hospital, 3357 Hwy. 9 E, Little River.

2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Murrells Inlet Veterinary Hospital, Inlet Plaza, Hwy. 17 Bypass, Murrells Inlet.

The following dates and locations have been set for Georgetown County clinics this week:

SATURDAY

9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Pawleys Veterinary Hospital and Westview Animal Hospital, Tractor Supply parking lot.

9:30 a.m. to noon, Dr. Ernest Fox, old Big Lots parking lot.

2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Pawleys Veterinary Hospital and Westview Animal Hospital, Inlet Plaza, Hwy. 17 Bypass.
