Four people have been charged in connection with a 2008 homicide that occurred in the Loris section of Horry County, said Horry County Police Sgt. Robert Kegler, in a press release.
Charles Henderson Mullins, 26, Bradley G. Mullins, 32, Anthony Earl Ray, 33, and Arlie Eugene Mullins, 34, have been charged in the killing of Kelly Joe Elliott, who was found dead in his home Sept. 15, 2008, from a gunshot wound, Kegler said. All four men are being charged with murder, armed robbery and first-degree burglary.
They will be formally charged upon their extradition to Horry County.
Arrest warrants were issued for the four men Friday after detectives followed up on a tip they received in March. The men were arrested over the weekend, police said.
Charles Mullins was arrested by the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office in Tennessee and is currently awaiting extradition.
Bradley Mullins is an inmate at the Red Onion State Prison in Virginia on unrelated charges. He will be extradited to Horry County upon completion of his sentence there.
Ray was arrested by the Johnston County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina and is also awaiting extradition to Horry County.
Arlie Mullins was arrested by the Monongalia County Sheriff's Office in West Virginia and is currently awaiting extradition.
On Sept. 15, 2008, Horry County police responded to an address on Dew Lane after a man had been found dead in his home by family members, Kegler said in the press release.
