Allen Edmonds Honors Collection of shoes debuts
The new Allen Edmonds Honors Collection, a line of golf shoes and accessories, became available Monday in the company's 33 retail stores and online at allenedmonds.com with a special introductory price of $295 available through April 10. The shoes will have a suggested retail price of $345 after the introductory promotion. Introduced in January at the 2011 PGA Merchandise Show, the Honors Collection shoes bring almost a century of classic, handcrafted style, comfort and time-tested performance to players.
The shoes are made in Port Washington, Wis., using 360-degree Goodyear welted construction for greater stability while maintaining flexibility. They feature fine premium leathers and a performance system, and provide specially engineered designs including a soft cork layer between the insole and outsole for custom-like orthotic comfort. The Honors Collection features five new styles specific to golf, each suited to distinct performance and styling. Every shoe comes in multiple widths. Like the company's dress shoes, Allen Edmonds golf shoes will be available for Allen Edmonds' Recrafting services. In 2010, Allen Edmonds recrafted 60,000 pairs of shoes, making it the world's largest cobbler. Ben Crenshaw wears the shoes in competition.
