Myrtle Beach ranks among the top ten destinations for amusement parks and boardwalks, according to consumer-driven travel website TripAdvisor.

The city ranks sixth on the list of US destinations. The list praises Myrtle Beach for having family-friendly amusement parks, golf and water sports in addition to the beach. The awards are based on user reviews posted on the website.

The ranking is part of TripAdvisor's 2011 Travelers' Choice Family Awards. TripAdvisor ranked Myrtle Beach as the best beach destination in the country in May of last year as part of its 2010 Travelers' Choice Destinations Awards.
