Conway couple charged with golf cart thefts

A Conway couple were arrested on charges related to golf cart thefts, according to a release from Horry County police.

Christopher Anthony Rossi, 30, and Kelly Colleen Rossi, 29, both of Conway, were each charged with two counts of receiving stolen goods over $1,000 but less than $5,000 and obtaining signature or property by false pretenses under $2,000. Christopher Rossi also faces a chop shop charge.

On Oct. 17, a man called Horry County police to report he found what he thought was his stolen golf cart on the side of S.C. 544 with a for sale sign on it, Horry County police Sgt. Robert Kegler said. Detectives had been investigating reports of several golf cart thefts in the southern part of Horry County.

Similar stories:

During the investigation, detectives identified Christopher Rossi and Kelly Rossi in connection with the stolen golf cart, Kegler said. Police also recovered two other golf carts and a motorcycle that was being taken apart and had been reported stolen.

This investigation into stolen golf carts continue and police ask that anyone who may have purchased a golf cart or any other property from the couple to call them at 915-5350.
