Nonpartisan

The Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a "Stump and Boil" beginning at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Carroll Campbell boat landing in Georgetown to allow county voters to hear from candidates running in the November elections and enjoy a low-country boil for dinner. The public is invited.

The Horry County Education Association-Retired branch and the Horry County League of Women Voters is sponsoring an Horry County School Board candidates forum Wednesday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. at Ryan's Restaurant, 2904 Church St., Conway. The forum will offer the opportunity to hear candidates from both parties vying for Chairman, and District 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 and 10 seats in the upcoming Nov. 2 election.

The free celebration is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club, 9000 N. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach.
