An Andrews man was sentenced to 20 years in prison after he pleaded guilty his third offense of distributing crack cocaine, according to the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
Octavious Omar Collins pleaded guilty Wednesday to the charge and Circuit Court Judge Benjamin Culbertson sentenced him, according to the release. There was no agreement as to Collins possible sentence in the case and Collins faced between 15 to 30 years in prison or a fine up to $50,000.
Assistant Solicitor Erin Bailey said the charge stemmed from a 2009 arrest of Collins after undercover police used a confidential informant to purchase crack cocaine from Collins.
