Police roundup | Horry County police continue to investigate fatal shooting in Little River
A Myrtle Beach man was released from jail Tuesday, one day after being charged with shooting a BB gun at another person, according to a police report.
Terrance Michael Nelson, 24, is charged with third-degree assault and battery and discharge of firearms in city limits after he was arrested Monday afternoon in Myrtle Beach. Bail was set at $2,469.
Officers reported that a man was riding his mo-ped down Ocean Boulevard when he was hit in the head and arms by ammunition from a BB gun, the report shows. The victim saw a barrel of a gun pointing out of a nearby apartment window.
Nelson left the apartment by the time police arrived, but witnesses pointed him out to officers at the scene.
Nelson admitted to shooting the gun at the victim and apologized, the report shows.

Man posts bail on fatal DUI charge
A Longs man facing charges in a vehicle crash that killed a Myrtle Beach man last year has paid bail, but still is waiting to be released from jail, officials said.
Williams Curtis Howsare, 21, of Longs was charged with felony driving under the influence on July 5, 2009, after the death of Darrell Edward Dismukes, 54, said Sgt. John Bertang with the Myrtle Beach Police Department.
Dismukes died at 4 a.m. July 13 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston from injuries he suffered in the crash, Bertang said.
As of 8:30 p.m., a jail official said Howsare still was at the detention center, waiting to receive a home monitoring bracelet.
He will be placed on house arrest when a GPS ankle device is located for him by officials at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
He must wear the bracelet and is not allowed to drive until his trial, a Myrtle Beach municipal judge said last year.
Police say Howsare failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of U.S. 17 Bypass and 62nd Avenue North at 6:38 a.m. July 5.
According to the police report, Howsare's vehicle was traveling north on U.S. 17 when it slammed into the driver's side door of Dismukes' vehicle. Dismukes was turning south from 62nd Avenue North onto U.S. 17 Bypass.
It was not known if Dismukes was wearing a seat belt.
Dismukes had injuries that included bleeding on the brain, a collapsed lung, multiple rib fractures and a crushed left shoulder, the report shows.
Police said Howsare suffered a ruptured spleen, ruptured kidney, subdural hematoma and a fractured right femur.
He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
