Loris woman killed in one-car crash
A 23-year-old Loris woman was killed early Sunday morning when a car she was driving ran off the side of the road and flipped several times, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
Lisa Norris Causey was pronounced dead at the scene, said Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick. Causey died of multiple blunt force trauma.
Causey was driving a 2006 Pontiac at 12:15 a.m. on S.C. 410 when she failed to make a turn and ran off the right side of the road, which caused the vehicle to flip several times, said Lance Cpl. Paul Brothers of the highway patrol.
Causey was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, Hendrick said.
There were no other passengers in the car and no other vehicles were involved, Brothers said.
No autopsy will be performed, Hendrick said.
