Run for your lives!
No, it's not the undead apocalypse - although it may look like it - it's the third annual Myrtle Beach Zombie Walk. This charity event raises money for the Grand Strand Humane society by encouraging residents to dress up as zombies and creep through the Five Points section of downtown Myrtle Beach. Costume creativity is encouraged, but there will also be professional make-up artists on hand to help zombie-fy participants. And if the prospect of playing brain-eater for a few hours is too much for you to handle, the humane society will have some cuddly, adoptable critters on hand to cheer you up. The walk begins at 5 p.m. at Fresh Brewed Coffeehouse and ends at the intersection of Eighth Avenue North and Kings Highway where an afterparty with 13 bands playing at Drink! and The Basement
will take place. Tickets are $5 for makeup and admission to the shows. Call 251-8282 or visit myspace.com/mbzombiewalk for more details.
