Beach Ball Classic roundup: Bishop Gorman continues domination

MYRTLE BEACH -- Bishop Gorman is making the most of its first trip to the Beach Ball Classic despite playing without two star players. Even without Shabazz Muhammed, the top rated sophomore in the land who is sitting out with a muscle strain in his lower back, and fellow starter Xavier Grimble, who is playing in the Under Armour All-Star Football Game, the Las Vegas-based Gaels cruised past Nichols School (Buffalo, N.Y.) 84-44 on Tuesday at the Myrtle Beach Conventional Center.
