Two Carolina Forest baseball players signed National Letters of Intent to play college baseball during the fall signing period.
Senior Justin Turbeville, who has contributed as a pitcher, in the outfield and at first base for the Panthers, signed with Francis Marion University. Senior Matthew Jolly, a pitcher and outfielder, signed to play at Newberry College.
On the mound, Turbeville went 3-1 with a 2.26 ERA, 31 strikeouts and only two walks in 21 2/3 innings as a junior. He batted .288 with three home runs and 10 RBIs. He was named to the all-tournament team in last year's Baseball at the Beach and was an honorable mention all-region selection.
