Summer Kicks

Summer is the season to sizzle. The time for short skirts and board shorts is quickly upon us, and that calls for fabulous footwear, too. For women, summer sandals are all about metallics, neutrals, straps, hardware, and vibrant colors. However, men's sandals and shoes are a bit more subdued, instead sporting classic shapes and styles in durable materials such as leather or canvas. Luckily, this season, these hot trends and styles are comfortable, all within reach, and at a reasonable price.

WOMEN:

Classic-styled footwear such as thongs, strappy sandals, and heels take on a new edge for women this season, and it's all in the details. Whether gold hardware, bright colors, or ankle straps and cuffs, these summer sandals will highlight your legs and add chic to any summer ensemble.

Thongs: Pair shorts or a simple sun dress with the Gianni Bini Sailor Sandal in Gold ($49). These flats have a cork covered heel for comfort, and a thong strap that attaches to a double buckle ankle strap. The color is subtle and light reflecting, perfect for showing off that summer tan. MEN:

Traditional styles and materials are what will make sneakers, boat shoes, and sandals must-haves for men this summer. Whether outfitted in leather, canvas, or rubber, these men's shoes will be great additions for keeping cool and stylish during summer months.

Sneakers: Putting on these kicks - Puma Voltaic Ripstop in Blue, White & Black ($80) - is a no-fail addition to any T-shirt and shorts combination.
