A man was flown by helicopter to a Charleston hospital Tuesday morning after being shocked while working at Freestyle Music Park, officials said.

Kerrick Mathis, who was flown by Carolina LifeCare to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, was listed in stable condition Tuesday evening, according to park spokeswoman Erin Barrett.

Mathis, who is a technical services employee at the park, has minor burns to his hands and feet, Barrett said.

Mathis was working in a construction area at the time of the incident, said John Stine, director of sales and marketing for Freestyle Music Park.

The park is conducting an investigation, Stine said.
