2010
WonderWorks, a hands-on science attraction, is slated to open in Myrtle Beach in spring 2010
Construction to begin on the expansion of Myrtle Beach International Airport, with the addition opening in 2012
Construction to begin on $100 million improvements to the intersection of U.S. 17 Bypass and S.C. 707 during the summer. Work will take about three years.
Opening of the 536-bed, four-story tower that is currently under construction at J. Reuben Long Detention Center is scheduled for mid-2010. It costs $33 million.
