The hole features the marsh and live oaks that make Caledonia one of the most requested courses on the Grand Strand.

The hole turns to the right and the fairway is cut off by water that comes from a marsh area on the right.

Water angles well to the left of the green and protects the front and right side of the green.

There are two bunkers on the left side of the fairway that should be carried on the drive.

The front of the green is low and the green slopes toward the water.

It's protected by a pair of bunkers behind the putting surface, another front right just beyond the water, and a fourth back left.

The back deck of the clubhouse overlooks the putting surface.

quotes
"One of the beach's most memorable finishing holes. Great spectator views and many different ways to play the tee ball."
Keith Stanzel
"This may be one of the most scenic holes on the Grand Strand with marsh on the right and a Lowcountry clubhouse behind the green. This is a classic finesse hole where long hitters must lay up but try to get as close to the lagoon in front of the green as possible to allow a short iron to a large undulating green."
Gary Schaal
