The hole is dubbed "The Gambler" and is the epitome of a risk-reward par-5.

It measures 525 yards from the gold tee, 497 from the gold, 497 from the white, 484 from the blue, 505 from the green and 430 from the red.

It's reachable in two shots despite its length if you choose to drive to an island fairway on the left that is relatively narrow. The other option is to play it safe and drive to a long fairway to the right side around water.

The hole is only about 460 yards from the back if played to the island fairway, but requires an accurate drive that carries 215 yards or more.

The second shot from the island fairway is all carry to a wide but shallow green that is protected by a front left bunker and bunkers to the back right and left, and has a hill as a backstop.

Fairway bunkers on the right side of the fairway are encountered if you go the long way around.

quotes
"Christened by Kenny Rogers, 'The Gambler' is the most unique par-5 in all of golf. From the back tees a well-placed shot drive on the island can leave a middle- to short-iron in. The Gambler can slingshot a player into a good round or hinder one's score horrendously."
Kellen Altman
"A fun par-5 with the unique island fairway. The many routes available make this hole fun and challenging at the same time. It usually leaves you saying, 'Why did I play it like that?'"
Ken Gee
