Like many holes in the Dream 18, beauty and difficulty are one in the same on this hole.

The green is a peninsula that shoots into the marsh, and is surrounded by marsh on all but the left side, where an often-used drop area resides.

The hole offers a great view of Cherry Grove across the marsh.

The green is bulkheaded and rises above the marsh, and the carry becomes longer the farther right you go.

A series of thin bunkers line the bulkhead at the front of the green and around the right.

The green generally slopes from back to front, with a plateau back left.

The hole measures 186 from the gold tee, 160 from the silver, 103 from the copper and 98 from the jade tee, and tee boxes move up the left side of the hole.

It seldom plays downwind, so it often plays longer than the yardage.

quotes
"Hit a great or good tee shot and you might just par it. Requires nerves of steel and a pretty good golf swing."
Marty Ekster
"Tidewater's signature hole is very intimidating and requires one of the most demanding tee shots to a bulkheaded green. The view of fishermen on the far bank is spectacular and if the wind is blowing off the Atlantic, club selection is extremely difficult. A variety of tees can be used to change distances and angles."
 Don Barnes
