Carolina Forest (0-0) at Timberland (0-0)

When | 7 p.m. Saturday

The game | Carolina Forest opens Saturday with perhaps the top team in Class AA. Timberland is loaded with at least three major-college senior recruits, including lightning-fast tailback Rockarius King, who had 1,700 yards last year. The Panthers will need to settle on a quarterback and avoid turnovers that plagued them in the preseason. The defense played well enough in the Kickoff Classic, but the offense will have to score some points to keep this one close.
