Debordieu Colony Club No. 17
449 yards | Par 4
Salt marsh runs along the entire right side of the hole, which curls to the right along the water. You can take as much off the corner as you dare, possibly setting up a short iron into the green or something more like a 3-iron. The wind is often in your face on the hole, which measures 423 from the championship tees, 385 from the back tees, 346 from the middle and 290 from the forward tees. The fairway slopes down from the left side and levels in the middle and out of bounds lurks beyond the left side. A bulkhead separates the green from the water on the right, and a waste bunker runs up to the green on the right from about 75 yards out. The green is 37 yards deep, has a ridge running through the middle from front to back, and falls off to the right. |
Local quotes:
“The tee shot can shorten the hole if your nerve and skill are up to it.” Jim Fellner
“This hole has a scary tee shot and challenging approach. An excellent strategic design.” Cliff Mann
